To my dear friends, family, followers & everyone else, it's been awhile since I've blogged and of course there's always a lot going on! Luckily I've busy too busy to keep my own blog up!
Yesterday at JJ's Bar & Grill in Valencia, CA twenty two locals were honored with awards for their community service by The Santa Clarita Gazette. The 22 Who Do are a group of people that were nominated to be honored because they help businesses, charities & people in general. I am proud to say I was one of them being honored among a list of amazing people like Rebecca DeLuca, Rhona Jukes and Tiffany Grummer just to name a few! I am touched to be mentioned among these people who all truly enjoy helping others!
Let's get on to the 1 who didn't, my son, who on the same night I discovered is being described as a criminal on Facebook, the radio & possibly posters around town. My son was lucky enough to find himself a stunning young woman as a girlfriend, who is normally very responsible. I saw her here at my house at 10:30 pm the night before they ran away together, because she was afraid to go home due to being late (she claims she had been abused for the same offense the night before). I'm not accusing anyone of abuse, I'm just repeating what she said to me in person, by phone and on text messages. I do not condone the fact that they ran away. When they did call, I advised them both to come home and I let Rayna know her mother is very worried. The fact is, they'll be 18 in a few weeks and they are very much in love with each other. If anyone does happen to see these kids, please let them know Rayna should report to the police why she's afraid to go home, or just go home. I can understand a young man wanting to protect his girl, but it is time to come home now.
Thank you for your support of my family and I in regard to my son, his girlfriend Rayna and the choices they made together. If I hear from them I will contact the sheriff station to let him know right away! For now, I need to focus on work and take a moment to be proud of this wonderful honor I received last night!
... and of course, I couldn't post an article here without anything to do with this website, so here's my Social Media tip to tie it in: Make sure facts are facts before you post them on the Internet
